We Offer Both Telemedicine & In-Person Appointments
To ensure our patients can access quality care no matter their location, we provide both telemedicine appointments and in-person appointments for wellness care and preventive exams.
We have a convenient telemedicine platform that is HIPAA compliant, and our office location is conveniently located in Spotsylvania, VA. when in-person appointments are needed.

Get In Touch
Patients may choose virtual-care or in-person care.
Preparing For Your Appointment
Virtual Care: A secure link will be sent to your email or as a text. This link joins the visit.
Patient intake forms are sent electronically to email or text.
During Your Appointment
Complete your virtual appointment with the provider. Prescriptions, imaging, labs or referrals may be necessary. RX and labs are electronically ordered. Referrals and imaging sent by fax or email. Reminder: Taking advantage of the patient portal will help you stay connected with your results, and provider.
Post-appointment
Pick up any prescribed medications at your preferred pharmacy. If labs are necessary, we work with Labcorp and Quest, each of which have multiple locations. Imaging orders can be faxed to the nearest imaging center of choice.
Follow up appointments as needed and communication through patient portal.
Insurance Providers Accepted
We currently accept most commercial and various Medicaid payors. Providers bill independently, and as a courtesy to the patient. Fees for service are due at the time of the appointment. We recommend verification of participation with your individual insurance plan. The patient is responsible for any balance not covered.

- Tricare (various plans, verification of plan participation with Tricare recommended)

Yes, you may have need for a prescription, and our provider will determine the need.
Yes, an online providers can prescribe specific chronic care medications and antibiotics as needed. If our provider feels the needs of the patient are better served in person then you will be advised of such. We are accepting patients for in person visits as well.
Virtual Care is the most convenient and fastest way to assess the need for treatment that is urgent.
Meet your Provider
Jennifer Thompson is the owner and Nurse Practitioner associated with Advanced Practice. She is a graduate of George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, where she received her Masters in the Science of Nursing. Jennifer is board-certified and is licensed in North Carolina and autonomously in Virginia & Florida.
Jennifer pursued her career interest in Emergency Medicine and has practiced full-time as a Nurse Practitioner since 2005, affiliated with multiple hospital sites. Currently, still working regularly in the Emergency Dept.
Jennifer also has worked in the areas of Primary Care and Correctional Medicine along her journey. Recognizing the extrordinary need for primary care in our area, Jennifer went over and above to help place a dent in this need by opening a healthcare service in our area. Jennifer enjoys her work in the Emergency Dept and now enjoys bringing healthcare services to those in need on a longer term basis.
Jennifer loves family time during her days off . She is a proud mother of 5 grown children and 3 very energetic grandsons. Jennifer also enjoys DIY activities and working out with a love for Yoga. Jennifer has lived in the area since 1997 and is very excited to make a difference in her community.
